can I get a replacement tag?

Yes absolutely. Best of all, if you're a subscriber, it's free.

To order a replacement tag you can do so by logging into your account.

Once logged in, navigate to the 'pets' tab.

Click 'order replacement' under the pet you require a replacement tag for.

When your replacement tag arrives, you will need to scan it, login and click on the 'replace this tag' button.

This will override the old tag. Now you can place the new tag on your pet's collar.

2. Delivery Locations

• We offer worldwide delivery to most locations.

• If we’re unable to deliver to your address, we will contact you via the information provided at checkout.

• Delivery estimates are based on the shipping date, not the order date.

To manage your account:

1. Visit pawtag.com/account/login

2. Log in using the email address and password you used during registration.

3. Navigate to your Account Dashboard.

2. Edit the fields you’d like to update, such as:

1. In the Pets section of your account, select the pet profile you’d like to edit.

3. Save your changes to ensure your pet’s information is always current.

what are the vet and shelter alerts?

What Are Vet & Shelter Alerts?

Vet & Shelter Alerts are automated notifications sent to the nearest veterinary clinics and animal shelters when you mark your pet as missing. These alerts contain essential information about your pet and your contact details, as well as a missing pet poster. This increases the chances of your pet being found and safely returned to you.

How It Works:

1. Mark Your Pet as Missing:

• Log into your PawTag account.

• Navigate to the “My Pets” section.

• Select the pet that is missing and click on “Mark as Missing.”

• Enter the location where your pet was last seen.

2. Automated Alerts:

• Once marked as missing, our system automatically identifies the nearest 5 veterinary clinics and animal shelters based on the location you provided.

• These establishments will receive an alert containing all necessary information about your missing pet and your contact details.

3. Alert Contents:

Pet Information: Includes your pet’s name, breed, age, photo, and any allergies or medical information you provided.

Owner Information: Includes your contact details, ensuring that the vets and shelters can reach you immediately.

Missing Pet Poster: A downloadable and printable missing pet poster is sent to the vets and shelters, featuring your pet’s photo and details to help spread the word.

Why It’s Effective:

Wider Reach: By notifying multiple vets and shelters in the vicinity, we increase the network of people actively looking out for your pet.

Professional Assistance: Vets and shelters are trained to handle lost pets and can provide immediate care if your pet is found injured or distressed.

Community Effort: The missing pet poster helps in rallying the local community to keep an eye out for your pet.

How to Ensure Effective Alerts:

Keep Your Profile Updated: Ensure that all your contact details and your pet’s information are up-to-date in your PawTag account.

Provide Accurate Location: When marking your pet as missing, enter the most accurate location where your pet was last seen to help us notify the right vets and shelters.

Follow Up: After sending the alert, follow up with local vets and shelters personally to ensure they received the alert and poster, and to provide any additional information if needed.

  • Unbox Your Tag: Once you receive your PawTag, find the QR code on the tag.
  • Scan: Open the camera app on your smartphone. Aim it at the QR code.
  • Wait for the Magic: Give it a moment to focus. A link will pop up once the QR code is detected. Simply tap on it!

Create or Login to Your Account

  • Welcome Page: You'll be directed to a login page.

    New?
    Create an Account: Follow the prompts to create a new account if you don’t have one yet.

    Already with us?
    Log In: Enter your credentials to access your account.
  • Rescan: Once logged in, open the camera app on your smartphone, point your camera at the PawTag again to proceed to setup.

Setup Your PawTag

  • Enter Details: You'll find a series of fields to fill out. Provide all the necessary details about your pet and yourself as the owner. Double check all the information entered is correct and up-to-date.

Activate Your PawTag

  • Activate: Look for the green button labeled "Activate". Click it and complete the checkout process to activate your tag.

Step 5

You're All Set!

  • Confirmation: Pawfect! Your PawTag is active and ready to protect your pet. You can now attach it to their collar.
  • Updates? No Problem: You can update your owner and pet's details at anytime in your account settings.

what is a pawtag?

pawtag is an intelligent identification solution for pets, linking them to a detailed online profile via a scannable qr code. this profile displays the owner’s contact information to the finder, allowing for instant notification of the pet’s location.

how does the tag work?

pawtag links to a digital profile with all the essential information needed to locate your lost pet. each tag has a unique qr code specific to your pet. when scanned, the profile is instantly accessed. no app required. the finder can notify you of your pet’s location and contact you using the provided information.

how do the gps alerts work?

if someone scans the qr code on your pet tag they are able to share an exact gps location which will send the map link and coordinates to your phone number via text immediately.

If your GPS location isn’t working as expected, it could be due to the following reasons:

a. Weak Signal or Poor Reception

• Ensure you’re in an open area with a clear view of the sky. GPS signals can be blocked by buildings, tunnels, or dense areas.

• Move to a location with better reception to allow your device to recalibrate.

b. Device Settings

• Check that location services are enabled:

For iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and ensure it’s turned on for the app.

For Android: Go to Settings > Location and ensure it’s enabled for the app.

• Ensure the app has permission to access your location.

c. Device Battery-Saving Modes

• Battery-saver modes can restrict GPS functionality. Try disabling battery-saver mode to improve accuracy:

For iOS: Go to Settings > Battery > Low Power Mode and toggle it off.

For Android: Go to Settings > Battery > Power Saving Mode and turn it off.


If you’re experiencing trouble connecting to the internet, try these steps:

a. Check Your Internet Connection

• Ensure your Wi-Fi or mobile data is turned on and has a stable connection.

• If using Wi-Fi:

• Check that your device is connected to the correct network.

• Restart your router if necessary.

• If using mobile data:

• Ensure you have sufficient data available in your plan.

• Toggle Airplane Mode on and off to reset the connection.

b. Restart Your Device

• A simple restart can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.

how can I update my pet’s profile?

no need for an app. when the qr code on a pawtag is scanned with a smartphone, your pet’s profile is displayed directly in the web browser. this allows anyone who finds your missing pet to contact you instantly.

certainly! pawtags are crafted from durable weatherproof aluminium, ensuring they are completely waterproof and ready for any adventure.

is the pawtag safe?

when will my pawtag arrive?

orders placed before 4pm on weekdays are scheduled for next-day delivery. orders placed after this time or on weekends may experience a slight delay.

where do you deliver pawtags?

we are delighted to offer global shipping, extending our reach to customers around the world.

can I cancel a renewal?

Of course, you can cancel this anytime up to the billing date, or if the billing date has passed, 3 days after.

Please note that all subscriptions have a 3-month commitment when purchasing a free tag.

how do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, it's simple. Just fill out this form with your full name, email, and pet name, and we will process the cancellation within 48 hours.

All tags are required to be returned before processing the cancellation.
